Devastated

To J,

Lost self, lost me
Consumed by need
Getting hurt, Hitting dirt
No way to revert

Devastated, Desecrated
Cannot at all be vindicated

Crushed for sure
Nowhere to go
Burned out, wasted
Forever blasted

Devastated, Desecrated
Cannot at all be vindicated

Those muffled screams
Trampled dreams
Alive but dead
Unnecessarily bled

Devastated, Desecrated
Cannot at all be vindicated

Anguished and marred
Scaled and scarred
Pride bereaved
Love misconceived

Devastated, Desecrated
Cannot at all be vindicated

Emotion to emotion
No justification
Unseen and unheard
Obscure and absurd

Devastated, Desecrated
Cannot at all be vindicated

Sightless and soundless
Mindless and boundless
Disgraced, unemployed
Abnegated, a void

Devastated...

 ... because he asked.

I hope you can come out of this muck of devastation and still go forth with what your plans were. I know jackshyte about what your situation is and I know it's easy for strangers to say things like that but as long as you still believe you can do something and as long as there is a higher power... you'll get there.

Please feel better. Good luck.

@ Swati

Hey! Somehow everytime I see 'BloggerMouth' in parenthesis on the right side while approving comments, I smile. Everytime. No kidding. :-)

As for the 'muck', I was lucky... Somehow didn't end up sinking as deep as I had imagined. Though the nightmare isn't over yet. There's more to come.

Thanks for the encouragement and wishes. Need them!
Love! <3

Glad you feel that way. You're a strong person, I can tell.

Love,

Getting hurt is part of human nature. The is a cliche "time heals all wounds." but its just that a cliche. The are ways of dealing with pain. One getting even. bUt the are those who will rise above that thought and put the pain emotion into creating a truly remarkable piece of literature. This poem does evoke emotion hearts. Even those hearts that are made of stone. Thank you for sharing this pain with us.

Hi. I just stepped on your blog and i had to leave a comment. Beautifully written, albeit very very sad, to say the least.

"Devastated" is a very strong word- i have no idea what you might be going through to want to write like that, but i sure hope life gives you all the reasons to feel happy soon enough. God bless :)

Powerful. The words do so much more than convey meaning. Their usage conveys the fatality of their context as well. Incredible.
